Dry season is the best time for bird photography in Land of Smiles (Thailand). At Keang Krachan, scarcity of water means animals and birds will congregate at water holes. Shooting from hides is ideal as you will be unnoticed at close distance. A number of artificially created pools of water are popular amongst birders and bird photographers. Most sought after is Uncle Sin’s pond. The forest at KKC National Park is another site (Long-tailed Broadbill, White-fronted Scop Owl, etc). Khao Yai National Park have good nesting sites for Hornbills.
